Notice: Starting January 1, 2020, all minor guardianship case types (GM, LG) have been reassigned to the 17th Circuit Court, and all case filings are now accepted at the Circuit Court Clerk's office.
The Probate Court clerk's office is open for in-person assistance, Monday through Friday, from the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Judge David M. Murkowski’s hearings in Courtroom 9C and Judge Avery D. Rose’s hearings in Courtroom 9D are conducted in a hybrid format, and parties may choose to attend hearings in person or via Zoom.
The Probate Register's hearings are conducted via Zoom.

In addition to the assistance provided during the Court's office hours, general inquiries, requests for hearing dates, and other requests may be directed to probatecourt@kentcountymi.gov. Questions or requests for assistance regarding mental health matters may be directed to mentalhealthdivision@kentcountymi.gov. All documents may be filed at the Probate Court clerk's office, the Court's dropbox on the second floor, or by mail.
Only the documents listed below will be accepted via email, at probatecourt@kentcountymi.gov. Filing fees must be promptly sent to the Court by mail. Filings are subject to return or rejection if filing fees are not promptly received. Accepted filings via email include:
