Special Events

As of January 25, 2013 the new rate for Special Events will be $60.00 per hour.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Office offers special event services to businesses, organizations, or persons who are in need of a police presence for traffic control, traffic enforcement, or security.

Services are offered on a fee basis of $60.00 an hour per deputy, including a patrol cruiser.  There is a minimum two hour charge for services.

To request a deputy at a special event, complete the Special Event Form and emailed to specialevents@kentcountymi.gov. You may attach local government permits, maps or any other information regarding your event with this form. Once we receive your request for service, the Kent County Sheriff's Office will contact you during regular business hours.
