Disaster Assistance for Business and Residents of Michigan Affected by Severe Storms and Flooding

The U.S. Small Business Administration is making available low-interest disaster loans to residents and businesses in Muskegon County, and the adjacent counties of Kent, Newaygo, Oceana, and Ottawa, who were affected by the May 2020 flooding and severe storms. Examples include residents along the Grand River who require loans to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate and personal property, and businesses that suffered economic injury from the flooding/severe storms. A Virtual Disaster Loan Outreach Center has been established at the U.S. Small Business Administration's Disaster Loan Assistance page. Customer support will be available to help applicants with the online application.

These services are only available for the Michigan disaster declaration as a result of the heavy rains and flooding on May 18, 2020 and not for COVID-19 related assistance.
