Information and forms for submitting a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to Kent County.

Property Resources & Deeds

Deeds Search & Document Retrieval	Search and purchase documents on file with the Kent County Register of Deeds. Certified copies can also be ordered, and will be mailed.
Property / Parcel Lookup	View delinquent tax status, sales history and tax description of a property in Kent County. Information is updated at the end of each annual assessment cycle.
Well & Septic Permit Request & Evaluations	Submit a request for inspection of new or replacement well and/or septic permits.

Business

Vendor Registration Process	Register to become a bidder in Kent County; registered bidders are notified of any new bids or requests for proposals issued by Kent County.
Business Name Search	Search for businesses registered in Kent County by either Business Name or Owner Last Name.
Buyer & Commodity Code Search	Search for a Kent County Buyer based on the commodity type. Search results will provide name, address, phone, fax and email of a person within Kent County to speak with.

Courts & Sheriff

17th Circuit Court Hearing Schedule	Hearing schedules for a specific case can be accessed using a Party Last Name and either the Party First name or Date of hearing. Hearing schedules are provided for domestic relations, civil, criminal and family cases.
17th Circuit Court Jury Duty Lookup	If a Jury Summons has been received, verification of time and location to report is given. A participant number to determine the status of the Jury Summons.
17th Circuit Court Name Search	Court records can be searched; criminal cases go back to 1996 and civil cases date to 1987. Date of Birth is required for criminal cases.
17th Circuit Court Payments	Pay for associated fines, fees or other costs associated with a court case.
Accident Reports	Retrieve accident reports by providing any two of the following: an incident number, last name of driver, or date of accident.
Bond Release	Bond holders can quickly check the status of their client(s).
Friend of The Court Email	Quickly email the Friend of the Court regarding a case-specific inquiry.
Incident Reporting	File incident reports online with the Kent County Sheriff Department for occurrences of business or private property damage, larceny from a vehicle, larceny of gas, lost property, misdemeanor theft or vandalism.
Inmate Lookup	View information about currently incarcerated inmates, including visitiation hours.
Probate Name Search	Search Probate Court records $6.00 per each name searched, case number searches free. Register of Action (ROA), $2.50.
Probate Hearing Schedule	View cases scheduled within the next 6 weeks if searched by name – all past, present & future scheduled events if searching by case number.
Sheriff - Citizen Survey	Fill out a survey about the Kent County Sheriff's Department.

Certified Vital Records

Birth Certificates	Birth Certificates can be ordered online if the birth occured after 1867 in Kent County.
Death Records	Searchable Death Records are limited to death certificates issued by Kent County.
Marriage License Application	The online Marriage Application service allows you to submit your marriage license application electronically. Marriage Licenses will be available for pick after the required 3-day waiting period.
Marriage Records	Searchable Marriage Records are limited to marriage applications issued by Kent County.
Business Name Search	Search for businesses registerd in Kent County by either Business Name or Owner Last Name.

Health & Environment

Dead Bird/Animal Reporting	Information regarding any observed sick, injured or dead animals or birds can be reported.
Dog License Renewal	Dog license can be renewed online yearly, based on the Animal's ID Number and the Owner's Last Name.
Restaurant Inspection Reports	View Health Department inspection reports for food service establishments in Kent County.
Household Hazardous Waste Appointment Request	Request an appointment to safely dispose of household hazardous wastes.
Report a Drain Problem	Quickly report a problem with a Kent County Drain to the Drain Commissioner's Office.

Parks & Leisure

John Ball Zoo Park Reservation System	John Ball Zoo allows online reservations for areas of the park.
Millennium Park Beach & Splashpad Passes	Order season passes for Millennium Park Beach and Splashpad.
Parks Reservation System	The Kent County Parks Department offers online reservations up to a year in advance.
Summer Discovery	Summer Discovery is a unique, fun, hands-on experience for children ages 3 to 8th grade. Each class follows a particular theme and uses a variety of methods to stimulate the learning process.

Free Prescription Drug Card	As a resident of Kent County, you and your family have access to a free Prescription Drug Card program. Simply download your card and receive savings of up to 75 percent (savings average around 30 percent) at more than 50,000 national and regional pharmacies.
Food Poison Reporting	To report a case of food poisoning, it must be done through the Food Safety & Toxicology department at Michigan State University.
Park Directory	A description of all Kent County Parks is listed, including Maps of the Park relative to each other, and their features.
Personal Protection Order Request	This form can be printed and filled out. The form provides complete instructions for filing the Personal Protection Order Request, and must be legible to be processed. You need to bring the completed form and a picture ID to the Court for processing.
