What We Do
The Kent County Animal Shelter (KCAS):
- Provides temporary care and shelter for lost, unwanted, and abused animals.
- Seeks placement of appropriate animals into responsible homes.
- Implements programs promoting safety and responsibility among pet owners and children in the community.
- Strives to reduce pet overpopulations.
- Creates and maintains community outreach and support programs to help keep families and pets together.
KCAS works closely with Animal Control, which is part of the Kent County Sheriff's Department.
