Internship Terms

Internship hours are based on student availability and preceptor need. If you are contacted for an interview, please communicate approximately how many hours per week you are available. If your program has set requirements for internships (hours, deliverables, etc.), please communicate this information as well. Internships in the past have ranged from less than 10 hours per week to 40 hours per week.

Internship Application Dates

Winter 2024 Application Dates

• Submit a complete application package following KCHD instructions during the time period of September 1 – September 15, 2023
• Interviews occur between September 15 - September 29, 2023
• Students will be notified of placement or non-placement no later than September 29, 2023

Spring/Summer 2024 Application Dates

• Submit a complete application package following KCHD instructions during the time period of March 1 - March 22
• Interviews occur between March 25 - April 10
• Students will be notified of placement or non-placement no later than April 10

Fall 2024 Application Dates

• Submit a complete application package following KCHD instructions during the time period of May 13 – May 24
• Interviews occur between May 27 - June 7
• Students will be notified of placement or non-placement no later than June 7

Winter 2025 Application Dates

• Submit a complete application package following KCHD instructions during the time period of August 2-August 16
• Interviews occur between August 19-September 2
• Students will be notified of placement or non-placement no later than September 2
