Employee Recognition For Quality Service
Criteria for Selection
Using the following criteria, please tell us why the employee should be recognized as a Quality Service Employee.
1. The employee must have helped to fulfill the County’s mission by
providing you with outstanding quality service.
2. The employee must have projected courtesy and respect towards his
or her customers.
3. Overall, the employee must have demonstrated outstanding performance
and must possess a favorable work record.

Our Mission
The mission of Kent County government is to be an effective and efficient steward in delivering quality services for our diverse community. Our priority is to provide mandated services, which may be enhanced and supplemented by additional services to improve the quality of life for all our citizens within the constraints of sound fiscal policy.
Our Goal
At Kent County, providing quality service to both our internal and external customers is our number one priority. The Employee Recognition for Quality Service program is designed to identify and recognize those employees who have provided outstanding quality customer service to Kent County’s internal and/or external customers/clients. In order to be recognized, the employee must have provided outstanding service through his or her work and must have demonstrated a positive and supportive disposition.
How to Nominate a Kent County Employee for Quality Service
If you believe that a Kent County employee has provided you with outstanding quality service we would like to hear about it. Please take a moment to share your story with us by completing the Employee Recognition for Quality Service Nomination Form. Nominations may be submitted by anyone, including members of the public, co-workers, supervisors, administrators, elected officials, etc.
Selection Process
During each quarter, a designated selection committee will review all of the nominations and select the Quality Service Employee of the Quarter. Individuals who are selected will receive:
1. A letter of appreciation from the Kent County Administrator/Controller;
2. A service recognition article to be published in the County Communicator
and;
3. Recognition at a Kent County Board of Commissioner’s meeting and
during the annual Kent County Work Team Recognition Breakfast.
Eligibility
All Kent County employees are eligible to be nominated, excluding elected officials and appointed individuals.
