After years of operating on PeopleSoft, we came to a point where our internal ‘fixes’ to update the system were becoming costly. We determined it was time to purchase a new system. The Michigan Municipal Services Authority (MMSA) was investigating a system that could be used in municipalities statewide that would provide uniform tools and processes.
Who was involved in this decision?
Leadership staff from Kent County Fiscal Services and Information Technology, along with representatives from the City of Grand Rapids and Genesee County worked with the MMSA and the product vendor, CGI, over the past year to come to an agreement.
Who do I talk to if I have questions?
There will be training sessions offered for staff based on their specific needs. Because some users only used PeopleSoft to enter their work hours, they will require a different training than those completing complex financial transactions.
