June 4, 2019 - KCHD and MDHHS held a meeting for parents and staff on June 4th to discuss the MDHHS Health Consultation Report.

May 28, 2019 - Upon notification of the possible exposure to asbestos-containing material at North Park Montessori, the Kent County Health Department (KCHD) contacted the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) for technical support. While the risk of lead poisoning due to this finding is still uncertain, Kent County Health Department (KCHD) continues to offer free walk-in lead testing at our health department during clinic hours. However, it is always the recommended that you consult your family medical provider for continuity of care. Please feel free to contact KCHD Lead Program at 616-632-7063 with any questions you may have in regards to lead.
