Effective July 30th, 2021, the Kent County Health Department Regional Lab will only
accept samples until 12:00PM
on Fridays. This practice is consistent across most laboratories throughout the state.
We encourage those who mail samples to ensure they meet this cut off time. If using the mail to send samples, we recommend not shipping on Thursday to ensure they are received at KCHD before Noon on Friday and within EPA Sample hold times.
Please Note: Samples should not be mailed the day before a holiday to ensure
Holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The Laboratory is Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and CLIA certified, and staffed by board certified Senior Medical Laboratory Scientists. Downloadable our State Certificates:
