Public Recycling Drop-off Station
Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm (excludes holidays)
The new Kent County Recycling & Education Center opened in 2010 and is a single-stream recycling facility. Instead of keeping paper products separated from plastic, metal and glass, single stream recycling allows the recycler to mix residential recycling together. This $11.5 million facility utilizes state-of-the-art technology and people to sort recyclables.
Kent County's Recycling & Education Center accepts residential recycling - not commercial or industrial wastes. Private waste haulers and the City of Grand Rapids deliver recyclables to this facility Monday through Friday between 7:30am and 4:00pm.
