CourTools is a set of ten trial court performance measures developed by the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) to provide the court with a comprehensive understanding of court operations. Kent County Circuit Court has adopted these measures to examine the Court's performance.
Measure 3: Time to Disposition
Definition: The percentage of cases disposed or otherwise resolved within established time frames.
Purpose: This measure is a fundamental management tool that assesses the length of time it takes our Court to process cases. It compares the Court’s performance to the State Court Administrative Office’s promulgated time guideline recommendations.
