American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)

The federal American Rescue Plan Act (AEPA) was enacted to provide $350 billion for eligible state, local, territorial and tribal governments to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Of this amount, Kent County was awarded $127.6 million. The County is currently refining its goals for this funding, collecting community input, examining best practices, and developing a specific spending plan that aligns with the U.S. Treasury’s guidelines

We are required to meet certain compliance and reporting responsibilities for our ARPA funding. To that end, we recently submitted a Recovery Plan Performance Report to the U.S. Treasury. This report contains project performance data, including information on efforts to improve equity, and engage communities. Additional information on how we intend to use this federal funding to meet the needs of our community will be forthcoming.
