Appliances
Metal can be salvaged from your refrigerator, stove, washer, dryer and other large appliances. Some appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, air conditioner units and dehumidifiers, contain refrigerant gas that must be certified upon removal by a trained technician.Working appliances may be donated.

Appliance disposal
ALWAYS remove the doors on your appliances before disposal (especially refrigerators and freezers). It only takes moments for children to get trapped inside an appliance and suffocate. Appliances should have all food and other debris removed.

Check with your waste hauler — they may offer a pick-up program for appliances and bulky items.
