Kent County Energy Tracking
As a part of Kent County's commitment to reducing the use of Energy, the County collects, analyzes, and displays information related to energy use at selected facilities.
In order to compare energy use (electric, steam, and natural gas) these units are converted to MBTU's. For most facilities, 2008, was chosen as the base year for comparison purposes due to information being available and complete.
It should be noted, that there are many variables which impact energy use. These variables include the temperature outside of the facility, the number of people entering and exiting a building, the structure of the facility (windows, doors, etc), and the use of the facility (24 hours, residential, etc).
