BOARD OF HEALTH ELECTS OFFICERS, SEATS NEW MEMBER
The Kent County Board of Health elected officers for the year and seated a new member during its first regular meeting of the year, Thursday, January 20.
James DeHaan, M.D., was elected Chair for the fifth consecutive year, while Kent County Commissioner Ken Kuipers (District 19) was elected Vice Chair. In addition, newly elected Commissioner Herschell Turner (District 17) was seated as a member of the Board of Health. Rounding out the 1999 Board of Health are Commissioner Kathy Kuhn (District 14) and at-large community representative Catherine Winick. Public Health Director Dr. Douglas Mack has an ex-officio seat on the Board.
The Kent County Board of Health will meet the third Thursday of every month at 8:00 a.m. at the Kent County Health Department, 700 Fuller N.E., Community Room B. All meetings of the Board of Health are open to the public. Remaining 2000 meeting dates are:
