The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be reconstructing I-196 from the Grand River to Fuller Avenue in the City of Grand Rapids. Construction is expected for Spring 2010 through November 2010, during which time lanes will be fully or partial closed. Construction is scheduled to be completed by late Summer 2011, however all lanes are expected to be open by December 2010. MDOT will reconstruct/widen I-196 from the Grand River to Fuller Avenue, and will remove/ replace structures at Coit Avenue and Lafayette Avenue.
