2004 Senior Millage Supportive Services Funding
Congregate Meals: Nutritious meals provided to individuals in a group setting, such as senior centers. Lunch is coordinated with activities and nutrition education.
Home Repair: Providing major and minor home repairs such as roof replacement, furnace replacement and ramp construction for wheelchair access. Any home modification related to disability restrictions will first be assessed by “Options” through Disability Advocates of Kent County.
Medication Management: Assisting individuals with dementia or other problems to assure that their medication is appropriate and their medication regime is followed.
Gentiva Health Services
Personal Emergency Response System: Provides clients with an electronic system that assures communication and when necessary, emergency assistance.
Stepping Stones - In-home Recreation Therapy Program: Provides assessment, therapy and education to treat physical, social, cognitive and emotional conditions of homebound persons to assist them in returning to a more active role in the community.
Weatherization: Provides home owners with assistance that includes: insulation and furnace repair or replacement.
