• Task Force on Health Care for People of Color

  The Kent County Task Force on Health Care for People of Color began in 2001 as the result of the final report and recommendations of a committee appointed by the Kent County Board of Commissioners to identify ways to address the health disparities for minority populations.

  The Task Force's mission is to examine the issue of health care for people of color, determine what Kent County is doing to resolve existing barriers and develop recommendations for the removal of these barriers. It has five major areas of focus: Access to Health Services, Cultural Sensitivity and Healing Racism, Education and Information, Prevention and Policy and is working diligently to address the needs of minorities in our community.
