Target Population
First time, low income, pregnant women of diverse cultures residing in the City of Grand Rapids.
Services
Public Health Nurses provides intensive home-based services to first-time, low income pregnant women. Involvement continues until the child reaches two years of age. Services focus on fostering healthier pregnancies, improving the health and development of children and encouraging self-sufficiency through planning for future pregnancies, continuing education and securing employment. Referrals accepted from prenatal care providers, health and human service agencies and prospective clients. Must enroll before the 28th week of pregnancy.
