PATH Workshop

Personal Action Toward Health is for adults with any type of longterm health challenge (diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, high blood pressure or others) and for individuals who would like to make healthy life changes.

This free, six week workshop meets once per week for 2 1/2 hours per session. The course is designed to teach participants a variety of skills and coping strategies to help them better self-manage their chronic disease and to improve their health.

Topics covered include:
• Easy exercise to improve your strength and keep you active
• Simple nutrition tips that have big rewards
• Effective ways to deal with fatigue, pain and depression
• How to easily talk to health professionals
• Tips on medications
• How to decide if new treatments are right for you

PATH is facilitated by two trained leaders, at least one of them having a long-term health problem.
