Leadership Subcommittee
Purpose
Providing day-to-day management support to ENTF direct service subcommittees.
Facts
The Leadership Subcommittee composed of ENTF chairs and key support organization members, addresses ongoing Task Force operations issues. These include coordination, development and communications between collaborative members and the community. The Leadership group refines basic needs data analysis strategies and products used by ENTF Subcommittees for effective collaboration, management and advocacy.
2007-2008 Accomplishments
- Based on Task Force success in moving work responding first to poverty
issues causing emergencies, then assistance, recommended that the Coordinating
Committee change the ENTF
name to Essential Needs Task Force. - Continued to weave community basic needs systems more closely with joint work between ENTF Subcommittees while formally connecting each Task Force component with the Kent School Service Network.
- Expanded the ENTF website (www.accesskent.com/ENTF) as the information repository for the community’s self-sufficiency support collaborative.
2008-2009 Agenda
- Continue work on coordinated poverty reduction initiatives while making the basic needs emergency response systems more effective and efficient.
- Continue data driven management, inter-committee communication and coordination while keeping the current, Task Force collaborative, low-cost management tradition in place.
- Expand basic needs funding, education and advocacy, building on the self-sufficiency focus.
