Make Kent County Park Reservations up to one year in advance!
For reservations, you may call (616) 336-PARK (7275) from Monday through Friday., 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Payment will be required within two weeks of the date the reservation is made or one week prior to the reservation, whichever comes first. Additionally, you can make your reservations online with payment by VISA or MasterCard credit.
Enclosed Shelterhouses
The kitchen facilities in all of the enclosed shelterhouses have electric
ranges and standard size refrigerators. The main room of each shelterhouse
seats approximately 150 people on varnished picnic tables. These tables
must remain inside the
shelter. Fireplaces with firewood
are also a feature of each enclosed shelterhouse. The shelterhouse at
Douglas Walker Park is heated and is available for rental year around.
Caledonia, Fallasburg,

Lake, Townsend, Wabasis
and Walker have enclosed
shelterhouses.

Open Shelters
An open shelter offers protection from the rain and houses enough picnic tables to seat approximately 125 people. All picnic tables must remain under the shelter. The open shelter at Townsend Park does not have water or electricity. Open shelters are rented once per day. Brewer, Creekside, Dutton, Fallasburg, Johnson, Long Lake, Millennium, Dwight Lydell, Palmer, Rogue River, Townsend, Wabasis and Wahlfield have open shelters.

Reservable Picnic Areas
Reservable picnic areas are designated by signs. Each area has sufficient tables to seat 125 people.
