Rules and Regulations
We want you and your family to enjoy yourselves at Millennium Park. To help ensure that everyone
visiting the park has a great experience, we ask you to please observe the following rules and regulations.
Rules for the Beach and Splashpad Area
- Swimming is not allowed past the buoys
- Proper swim attire is required at all times
- No cutoffs in the water area of the Splashpad
- Street clothes not recommended
- Babies must wear swim diapers (available for purchase in the restroom)
- Diaper changing in the restroom only
- Children age 15 and younger must have adult supervision (THERE ARE NO LIFEGUARDS)
- Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at all times in the beach and Splashpad
area
- Please do not dive
- Scuba diving and scuba diving equipment are not allowed
- Please refrain from smoking within the beach area
- Bikes, skateboards, and roller blades are not allowed on the beach or in the beach area
- No running or horseplay in the Splashpad area
- Glass containers are prohibited
- No animals or pets allowed in fenced beach area
- Open fires and portable grills are prohibited
General Park Rules
- Alcoholic beverages – Beer and wine only are allowed in Millennium Park, as follows:
- Memorial Day Weekend and from June 15 through October 31
- From May 1 through October 31 with open shelter reservation
- Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at all times in the beach and Splashpad
area
- General rules
- No selling of merchandise
- No mechanical or other concessions
- Gambling and gambling devices are not allowed
- Pets must be leashed at all times
- No ponies or horses
- No hunting or trapping
- No posting of signs
- Place all refuse in trash receptacles
- Please keep all picnic tables under open shelters
- No amusements (dunk tanks, space walks etc.)
- Portable grills and pig roasts are not allowed
- Metal detectors are not allowed in the park
- Glass containers are prohibited
- ATV’s are not allowed in the park
- Bicycles are permitted on paved trails only
Persons caught destroying trees, plants, lawns, buildings, equipment or signage will be prosecuted
to the fullest extent of the law.
