Plans and Services Programs
The Kent County OCC is funding twenty programs administered by twelve different agencies during FY 2007 (October 1, 2006 – September 30, 2007). These programs provide a wide range of intermediate sentencing alternatives from the supervision of offenders ordered by the 17th Circuit Court to complete community services or work crew hours to substance abuse treatment. Breaking the cycle of crime and giving offenders the knowledge, skills, and abilities to change the behavior that led to their involvement in the criminal justice system will reduce future criminal activity.
