Community Corrections

Advisory Board

The Kent County Community Corrections Advisory Board (CCAB), whose members are appointed by the Kent County Board of Commissioners, is the body responsible for community corrections planning and policy-making. Formation of the advisory board is a requirement of PA 511 prior to local community corrections applying for funding. The CCAB consists of thirteen individuals chosen from within the local criminal justice system, local government, and general public. Meeting four to six times per year, the CCAB reviews and discusses local criminal justice issues and how community corrections funding and/or Kent County OCC staff can impact these issues. CCAB members must also approve the yearly community corrections grant in addition to being involved with various committees that address criminal justice issues in Kent County.
